He and I shared some adventures over the years at school inlcuding an unauthroised road-trip (i.e. hitchhiking) trip to Hastings via Taupo at the end of senior exams. Read about it here.
Rod has had a successful real estate career and has retired in Taupo. He also spends time at Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. He is pictured with his pride and joy, a 1932 Austin 7, which he uses for vintage car runs.
It sure looks a lot smarter than some of the old 'vintage' cars a number of senior boarders had hidden in the back streets near school, during our time there.
