Can’t imaging OSH allowing a student to cut down pine trees on a school site now. The site is now that of a small theatre, music rooms and memorial to fallen Old Boys from the two World Wars
The Gully Ground photos are of interest as they show the woodwork buildings at the top with a stand of pine trees to the right. Later during my time (about 1954), these were felled with one of the students working with his father in clearing the area. Can’t imaging OSH allowing a student to cut down pine trees on a school site now. The site is now that of a small theatre, music rooms and memorial to fallen Old Boys from the two World Wars This Gully Ground photo shows the old pavilion where so many of us changed and showered after rugby practice. It was burnt down and never replaced.
